Today we’re talking about my first master, Kazuo Ohno. Kazuo Ohno was a Japanese dancer and one of the founding creators of a contemporary dance form called Butoh. Butoh incorporated elements of existentialism, surrealism, German expressionism, and kabuki theatre, as a reaction to the horrors of the second world war.
