Matt Crumpton is a lawyer who has worn many hats throughout his career. From attorney to entrepreneur, executive, musician, and philanthropist, Crumpton’s diverse experiences have shaped his journey.
Matt's legal career began at a corporate law firm, after being laid off in 2009, he founded his law firm, Crumpton Law LLC, where he focused on transactional work for small businesses and musicians.
In 2012, Matt and his parents acquired the D.P. Dough restaurant brand, negotiating and handling all legal aspects. Over the next seven years, he served as Executive Vice President and later as President and CEO of D.P. Dough. Under his leadership, the brand expanded from 17 to 37 locations and achieved recognition as a Top 200 Food Franchise by Entrepreneur magazine.
Since selling the D.P. Dough franchise, Crumpton has reopened his law practice, specializing in helping businesses start, scale, and sell. He also represents bands, producers, and rappers in the music industry. His passion for music extends beyond legal work, He is the founder of "Music Loves Ohio", a non-profit organization providing grants and scholarships to financially underserved Central Ohio youth pursuing music. As a musician, he plays bass, piano, and guitar in The Winnie Cooper Project, a 90s rap jam band.
In 2022, Crumpton launched the podcast “Solving JFK,” which gained popularity and reached high positions on Spotify and Apple US History charts. His podcast led to an appearance in the documentary “JFK: What the Doctors Saw” on Paramount Plus. Additionally, he co-authored the book “The JFK Assassination Chokeholds,” which topped the Amazon 1960s US History Charts.
