Just Keeps Getting Better
Every series continues with the same high quality writing, plots, and acting. I recommend every series very highly.

Superb!
Any additional comments?
This whole series is terrific! The stories, the plotting and the acting. I wish there were twenty more with the same cast! A hidden gem!

I LOVE McLEVY
I have all of these Mclevy radio productions and love them all. These are recreations from the book of true events from the diary of the real Scottish McLevy whos life was spent policing the streets of Edinburgh during the Victorian era. The writer David Ashton (who also splendedly plays McLevys boss) has done a great job translating these into marvellous hilarious shows of murder, intrigue, treachary, slander, kidnapping, you name it, it is all in these great shows. We get fantastic value for money/credit with at least 6 to 7 hours of pure fun entertainment for each series. Brian Cox is superb, he is McLevy bringing the fascinating character to full life, he is so witty you will have lots of laughs wishing that this series could just keep going on. PLEASE! LETS HAVE MORE!

Excellent atmospheric story telling
If a tv exec has not signed this series up for a box set I would be very surprised . Beautiful language and characters . Very convincing picture of Victorian Edinburgh .

Takes you back to the days of policing without squad cars and super computers.
It's not complicated plots or soul destroying child murders , it's easy to follow with a touch of comedy. The actors have created a bond and seem to have gelled nicely. The one annoying thing is a lot of the background voices along with store keepers or landlords are easy to hear are done by the main cast but apart from that it's a gem.
