Courtney had watched complications from the same disease take her mothers life just six years prior to her very own diagnosis of MS. A scared and confused Courtney was finishing two graduate degrees when traumatic events left her body numb from her toes to her chin. Her doctors were at first perplexed due to Courtney's tests coming back normal. Six months later she was completely in a wheel chair on disability unable to stand.
