After a tough time with mental health, its good to see that Rob Clarke is back on track, not only with his music but with his new business, BOBBYS.

Rob’s partner, Louise, has Coeliac disease which causes an abnormal immune system reaction to the protein in gluten, which is found in foods such as bread, cereals and biscuits. During Covid,  Rob spent a lot of time cooking, which he also found beneficial for his mental health. He has always cooked and started making chicken wings, fish and chips that contain no gluten so that his partner could enjoy the same foods as the rest of the family. After perfecting his recopies, he found that family and friends loved the food too, not even realising it was gluten free.

Roh set up Bobby’s which is a home delivery company, BOBBY’S and every item is gluten free and can be enjoyed by everyone. At the moment, Rob has home deliveries but tonight Tuesday 19th November he will be serving his great gluten free food at The Wine Lounge Bar in Ingatestone between 12pm – 8pm.  Lila talked about the Bar and how it came to be and plans for the future. Rob hopes that this will be a regular event and a chance for everyone to saviour his food.

It was good to talk to Rob about Mental Health during Men’s Mental Health Awareness Week and the struggles that many musicians had during Covid and after Covid. Nearly every gigging musician was unable to work, the hospitality industry was hit badly and is still recovering.

Rob has turned full circle, gigging with his very successful band  and opening up, Bobby’s serving gluten free fish n chips, chicken wings, curry sauce and more. We wish him well.
