Melbourne's Metro Tunnel stations are introducing new crowd control technology featuring digital graphics above train doors that display carriage congestion levels using four silhouettes shaded in black. The system will be operational at all five Metro stations from Sunday and includes accessibility features showing where people with disabilities should board. Meanwhile, the Liberal opposition has announced plans to criminalise coercive control with penalties of up to seven years imprisonment, with Opposition Leader Jess Wilson planning to introduce the legislation next week or within her first 100 days if elected.
