Description
In parashas Mikeitz, Judah responds to his father's concern for
Benjamin's safety by saying: "Send the lad with me, and we will arise
and go, that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our
little ones." Many commentators explain this to mean that Judah was
conceding the danger that the trip posed to Benjamin but arguing that
the danger to the whole family of not going was greater. Our class this
week will explore this idea from the halachic perspective.
