Minneapolis police step up presence around schools, houses of worship after mass shooting

As more schools begin classes, police in Minneapolis are getting help from other agencies for extra patrols in the wake of this week’s deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School. MPD is calling on county sheriffs, state troopers and surrounding municipalities to help patrol close to schools and houses of worship.
A federal judge in Minnesota has dismissed a lawsuit that sought to block abortion access in the state.
