Lt. Gen. Brian T. Kelly, USAF (Ret), is a highly respected leader who dedicated more than three decades of service to the United States Air Force. Commissioned through the University of Notre Dame’s ROTC program, he earned a degree in aerospace engineering and went on to hold numerous key leadership and command positions around the world. Throughout his distinguished career, General Kelly focused on building and leading strong teams, improving personnel systems, and ensuring the readiness and well-being of Airmen and their families.

As the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel, and Services (A1) at Air Force Headquarters, he was responsible for shaping policies affecting the total force—military, civilian, and contractor—covering everything from recruitment and training to quality of life and career development. His leadership helped modernize the Air Force’s human capital strategies during a period of major transformation and global demand.

After retiring from active duty in 2022, General Kelly continued his commitment to service by becoming the President and CEO of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) in January 2023. In this role, he leads one of the nation’s most influential military advocacy organizations, championing the interests of service members, veterans, and their families through legislative action, education, and support programs. Known for his integrity, compassion, and forward-thinking leadership, Lt. Gen. Kelly remains a powerful voice for those who serve and have served.
