Mitchell's love for filmmaking and storytelling began in childhood and has guided his life off the beaten path. He dropped out of college to start his first video production company, Avenue Film Co. He built it to the point of being acquired by a tech start-up, where he was made the Director of the content team. Feeling the itch of entrepreneurship, he left security and money for a place to experiment, FilmLaab. Since starting this new business, Mitchell has created a hotbed for creative theory. Finding the best results by testing hypotheses on themselves, FilmLaab is a team of lab-rats.
