Modesty, body image, and the stories we don’t hear w/ Gila Glassberg
Description
In this episode of the Diabetes Digital Podcast, we talk with Gila Glassberg, an Orthodox Jewish dietitian and intuitive eating counselor, about body respect in modest communities.
We explore the meaning of modesty, common stereotypes, and how cultural values influence body image. Gila also shares practical ways to build confidence and body appreciation while staying true to personal and religious values. This conversation opens the door to more inclusive discussions on body respect across cultures.

This is an important discussion. not for any particular religious reasons, but because of my personal values and beliefs about how sexuality works, I tend to be much more modest than many activists in size acceptance. It's been a problem over the years and it gets old having people encouraging you to act like more of a libertine than you think is either wise or ethical.
