Scattered strong thunderstorms are possible in Val Verde County this afternoon and tonight. The primary threat will be for locally heavy downpours, with a few storms capable of producing small hail and strong wind gusts. Days two through seven. Tuesday through Sunday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected during the middle of next week. Locally heavy rains will be possible Tuesday through Thursday. Hot and humid conditions are expected over the area Friday through Sunday.
