Description

Ever wonder how social norms impacts our perspective in reading? In today's episode we will be discussing mononormativity and non-monogamy in literature. Mononormativity pervades art and media while the lack of representation in the stories we read somehow keeps the community as a whole closeted. Let us find out what we can do about it and how we can help the community thrive.

Krista Varela Posell is a writer who leads a book club for Poly Pages reading texts fundamental to the non-monogamous community. At the beginning of the pandemic, she began Poly in Place, a community blog with her polycule, and since then has become passionate about increasing the visibility and representation of non-monogamy and polyamory in literature. She has been featured on podcasts such as Normalizing Non-Monogamy, Practicing Polyamory, and Polyamory Uncensored.
