We can only know in part concerning the complexity of all that was completed on the Cross is still a mystery. The truth that Jesus finished his work on the Cross can transform your life
When Jesus said it was finished, tetelestai, he meant His plan was completed, finalized, settled, accomplished, and fulfilled. It’s paid in full. Redemption has fully arrived!
It is only through the death of Christ that SIN IS put to death
Did He finish? Or is there more left to do? Do we have to wait until heaven to receive His promises? When is the work of the Cross finished for you and me?
This is a vital question that every believe must determine. Did He complete my salvation or after I accept Him, do I have to do something more??
My sins are forgiven. If I ask for forgiveness, I am forgiven. As far as the East is From the West, my mistakes are not remembered. God will not punish YOU for the sins He has already vanquished, conquered, defeated on Jesus’s body.
Peter said of Jesus “He did no sin.” John, a man close to the heart of Jesus, said: “In him, there was no sin.” Paul, a scholar said, “He knew no sin.” He was a perfectly sinless man, 100% God and 100% Man.
We know that when Jesus hung on the Cross, He was both the sacrificial Lamb and the only Great High Priest.
Did Jesus finish? Or, does He need to come back and die again?
