-Clare Senior Hurlers – relegated to Division 1B of NHL, eliminated from Munster SHC
-Clare Senior Footballers – finished 3rd in Division 3 of NFL, beaten in Munster SFC Final by Kerry, lost all 3 games & finished bottom of All-Ireland SFC Group 3
-Clare Senior Footballers – Peter Keane stepped down as manager after one season, following short tenure of Mark Fitzgerald – Paul Madden takes over
-Éire Óg do the double – Canon Hamilton and Jack Daly Cups
-Clare clubs in Munster Club Championships - Éire Óg, O’Callaghan’s Mills, Corofin
-Clare win All-Ireland U18 B Ladies Football Final – defeat champions Sligo (1-8 to 0-7)
-Ennis Ladies RFC – maiden AIL campaign
-Local soccer
