Description

Returning to the workforce after a career break can feel overwhelming, especially in fast-moving industries like STEM. In this episode, host Kelly Shungu is joined by Kelly Quiney and Heather Nemelka, two inspiring women who help mothers in STEM navigate their return to work with confidence and clarity.

Kelly Quiney is a former engineer turned transformational life coach. With over 20 years in a male-dominated industry, she’s now on a mission to help high-achieving STEM mums overcome imposter syndrome, rebuild confidence, and redefine success on their terms — without burnout.

Heather Nemelka is the Founder and CEO of Elavare, a platform supporting women through career transitions with training, mentorship, and community. After re-entering the workforce as a single mum of five, Heather now empowers other women to do the same. She brings two decades of leadership and marketing experience, serving as Vice Chair of the Silicon Slopes AI Chapter.

Together, they share practical advice, personal stories, and strategic tips to help women return to STEM careers with resilience and purpose.
