Dr Valeria Giannuzzi is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences with a specialisation in Migration Studies and is the founder of The Magic Stork, a community-focused organisation based in the UK providing culturally sensitive mental health services.
Having lived and worked in five countries before settling in the UK, Valeria knows first-hand the joys and challenges of resettling, learning new codes, and adapting to a new country. With over 15 years of professional experience, she has supported migrants in a range of contexts, including refugee camps, community engagement, research, and specialist mental health services. Her work has involved supporting diverse groups, such as unaccompanied minors, international students, expats, asylum seekers, and vulnerable women.
Through The Magic Stork, Valeria seeks to empower migrants by offering individual counselling, psychoeducational support, and workshops that promote mental well-being and resilience.
