Musings in Transit Podcast
Description
The 5th episode is here! In this episode, I talk with Shayan Pashai, an Iranian-American Queer Designer based in California. Shayan owns and operates his own fashion brand called Carnal Flora, which focuses on storytelling, sustainability, and quality. He has built his career in couture and worked with French and Italian mills that Chanel and Versace also do business with.
Over the hour, we discuss all things from trend indentification, how community plays into creation, and why storytelling is important for a brand. Shayan also gives some wonderful advice to any creative looking to start their own business and pursue a creative passion.
