In the final piece of their four-part discussion, Dr. Debra Dyer, MD, and nurse navigator Linda Dowling, RN, discuss lung cancer screening amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of National Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2020, Dr. Debra Dyer, Chair of the ACR’s Lung Cancer Screening Steering Committee, had a series of conversations with stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum about myths in lung screening in the limited series “Mythbusting Lung Cancer Screening.”

Linda Dowling was a nurse navigator at Rush University Medical Center. After obtaining her BSN, Linda focused her career on outpatient oncology and thoracic nurse navigation, including implementing and growing Rush’s lung screening program and helping form the Tobacco Oversight Committee. Since this interview was recorded, she has retired from nursing.
