NASCAR legend Greg Biffle, along with his family, tragically passed away in a plane crash in North Carolina. The private jet, registered to Biffle, went down shortly after takeoff. Biffle was a record-breaking three-time consecutive champion at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The family was en route to visit YouTube star Cleetus McFarland in Sarasota, Florida. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims. Flight tracking data shows the plane was scheduled to fly from Statesville to Sarasota, then on to Treasure Cay, and finally Fort Lauderdale, before returning to Statesville. Biffle began his NASCAR career in 1995 and competed in 515 Cup Series races, securing 19 wins and 175 top-ten finishes. He was selected as one of NASCARs seventy-five Greatest Drivers in 2023.
