Nation building in Africa remains the fundamental challenge of a number of States within the African continent.
From earliest times, these challenges have manifested in the nature of;
i. External Influences
ii. Ethnicity
iii. Polarization
iv. The nature of Political systems
v. Democratization
vi. Religious Differences

In the face of these issues presented, the way forward remains;
First, adoption of a suitable political system of Governance
Second, adoption of the ideals of Pan-Africanism
Third, implementation of Policies and Programmes to promote reconciliation in conflicts aftermath
Fourth, adoption of able and empathetic system of leadership
More so, adoption of a suitable structure of party system
Lastly, dismantling and reconfiguration of the boundaries of Africa
