Spyware firm NSO Group, maker of the controversial Pegasus software, has a new majority owner: a U.S. investment group reportedly led by a Hollywood producer. Despite the change, NSO insists it remains an Israeli company, but experts fear the deal could lead to the powerful spyware being used by U.S. law enforcement, threatening privacy and free speech.
