Thousands of women in NSW hospitals are denied period products, despite NSW Healths promise. Samantha Bruce, a sexual assault survivor, was given an adult nappy instead of a pad or tampon. A national survey found that 13% couldnt get period products. My Monthly Matters initiative proposes vending machines, estimated to cost between $1.5M and $7M annually. Health Minister Ryan Park is considering the proposal, acknowledging the need for these products.
