Todays futures trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange saw a bullish trend, with most contracts showing upward movement. December twenty-fifth contracts closed at sixty dollars and ninety-five cents, up one dollar and forty cents, while January twenty-sixth contracts closed at fifty-nine dollars and ninety-five cents, up one dollar and thirty-one cents. Estimated sales reached one million, one hundred eighty-four thousand, seven hundred thirty-five contracts, a significant jump from yesterday. However, open interest decreased by eighteen thousand, five hundred seventy-seven contracts. Some December twenty-fifth contracts even saw gains of six dollars and sixty-four cents. The market is active, with a notable increase in trading volume, but also a slight dip in overall open interest.
