Despite thick smoke and flames, Jess crawled through the burning house to save the infant, who was trapped in a bassinet. Fire and Rescue crews later arrived, and the baby was taken to Wollongong Hospital for smoke inhalation treatment. Jesss quick thinking saved the childs life, showcasing everyday courage in her community.
