Novo Nordisk Cuts Prices on Wegovy, Ozempic

Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Wegovy and Ozempic, has announced price cuts for these medications. Existing cash-paying patients will see a reduction from $499 to $349 per month for Wegovy, while Ozempics highest dose remains at $499. A temporary offer for new cash-paying patients provides the two lowest doses for $199 per month for the first two months. These changes come after former President Trumps agreements with Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly to make GLP-one drugs more accessible and affordable. Trumps administration also announced a new direct-to-consumer website, TrumpRx, with starting doses at $350 per month, decreasing to $245 over two years. Eli Lilly has also reduced Zepbounds price to $299 per month on its platform, LillyDirect.
