Popular Quote: “Forgive and forget.”
It sounds nice, but is that really what Jesus taught?

In Luke 17:3–4, Jesus says: “If your brother or sistersins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

Notice what Jesus didn’t say: forget.

This Sunday’s message: “Forgiven”

“Forgiveness is not forgetting the wrong, it is remembering the grace. It’s choosing grace over offenses, again and again. Forgetting may not always be possible. But forgiving is always commanded.
