OU gets the blowout 44-0 win over Kent State. Can Hawkins beat Texas?
Description
It was as easy as everyone thought it would be. By the time the fourth quarter rolled around, this game was over. In the end, the Sooners finish off their non-conference slate with a 44-0 win over Kent State. But all eyes were on Michael Hawkins Jr. The player who might have to start against Texas if John Mateer needs more time to recover from his thumb injury. What did the gang think about what they saw from Hawkins Saturday afternoon? And we got to see some flashes out of Jaydn Ott and Danny Okoye. That's what we wanted to see. Javonnie Gibson got his first snaps as a Sooner and Eli Bowen made it back in the secondary. But we all know what's ahead. It's Texas. So once again, how do we feel about facing a team that just lost to Florida before the OU game finished?
