Oilers Blow Late Lead in Tough OT Loss + Rob Schremp
Description
Tyler and Liam break down an absolute heartbreaker, as the Edmonton Oilers fell 2–1 in overtime to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Edmonton held a 1–0 lead for almost the entire night, only to see Nick Paul tie the game with under three minutes left in regulation. Things didn’t get any easier in overtime, where both Zach Hyman and Jack Roslovic were denied by Andrei Vasilevskiy before Jake Guentzel buried the OT winner for Tampa Bay.
Despite the loss, Calvin Pickard delivered one of his best performances of the season, stopping 33 of 35 shots and giving the Oilers every chance to win. We’ll run through the full scoring summary, break down the key moments, and discuss what this loss means with the road trip nearing its end.
Ryder from “The Sauce” joins the show to talk about his first few weeks at Oilersnation and how things have been going behind the scenes. After that, former Oiler Rob Schremp hops on to share his thoughts on the Oilers’ struggles, the pressure mounting inside the dressing room, and whether he’s ever experienced a closed-door team meeting during his NHL career.
We’ll wrap things up with our Bet365 NFL picks for the weekend, plus a few early looks at tomorrow’s Oilers betting board.
