In this fourth episode of Living Native, we feature Ojibwe athlete Akayla Devereaux who is shining in athletics. She is a Native boxer and will be in the ring at the All Indian Boxing Championship on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona July 4-6, 2013. Akayla is a soon-to-be senior at Lowell High School in Lowell, Oregon and she was recently featured on KEZI News in Eugene, Oregon for her accomplishments in athletics. She is a 5-sport star and just recently picked-up boxing.
