Description
Scientists at the University of Florida have grown plants in soil from the moon, a first in human history and a milestone in lunar and space exploration. Using lunar soil brought back to Earth during the Apollo missions, the researchers showed that plants can successfully germinate, paving the way for one day growing plants for food and oxygen on the moon and beyond.
