One Thing or Another Podcast: An Interview with Matt Lubbers-Moore, Gay Mystery Bibliographer
Update: 2018-12-05
Description
I’m delighted to share my recent One Thing or Another Podcast interview with Matt Lubbers-Moore, a bibliophile and mystery aficionado with an encyclopedic knowledge of both the bibliomystery and gay mystery genres. His devotion to the latter has resulted in his creation of an online bibliography of gay mysteries, reflecting a labor of love and a commitment to scholarship in the subject.
Fasten your headphones as I talk with Matt about his life, career, love of gay mysteries, and an opinion or two.
About Matt Lubbers-Moore
Matt Lubbers-Moore is a newlywed having just married on November 10, 2018, with a huge passion for books, family, friends, life, and pizza. He has a degree in history with a minor in human rights and is currently a semester shy of a degree in Library Science.
Matt is working on a bibliography of gay mysteries and loves writing bibliographies of character appearances for local comic book stores (although not as detailed as the gay bibliography). He was a LAMBDA Literary Award judge for 2017 in the gay mystery category, and he’s also a book seller who once had a physical storefront but now sells at comic cons, flea markets, and gay pride.
His contact information is mattgenemoore@gmail.com (Matt would love to hear from people who have gay mystery recommendations for him, as he wants it to be as complete as possible).
Matt is a co-moderator (along with page founder Jon Michaelsen) of the Facebook group Gay Mystery-Thriller-Suspense Fiction. You can find his gay mystery bibliography on Google Docs at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QzmD01J3zewc2gLUmV5rwM1K-O0uk0v0QMIK-71g0mA/edit?usp=sharing.
