This discussion is referencing one of Jesus’s greatest illustrations Matthew 15:14 , (NIV), “Let them alone, they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into a Pit.” This phrase was witnessed by a few of His disciples, and it shows how simple His instructions can be if we “only have the ears to hear and eyes to see,” as we read in Matthew 13:15 . Which he exclaimed many times as well throughout His ministry. He is referring to the point of looking past the distractions in our lives, whatever they might be, that are hidden and take form in idols that most of us cannot see.
