About LCDr Chris Elliott
Lieutenant Commander (LCdr) Chris Elliott has served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 16 years, at times helping Canadians during domestic emergencies and is currently the Commanding Officer of HMCS Hunter and RCN Strategic Outreach Officer. He completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Education at the University of Windsor, a Master of Education from Queen’s and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Fredericton. During his part-time service, as a Reservist, he has worked as a secondary school teacher and construction safety and security officer. In his free time, LCdr Elliott enjoys volunteering in the local community, coaching youth sports, and founded a charity to support programs for individuals with special needs, earning the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers in 2018.
