Math: Iditarod Activities for the Classroom - Activities designed to integrate aspects of the Iditarod race into math instruction. Lessons include principles of comparative data analysis, estimation, measurement, unit conversion, statistics, cost calculation, fractions, decimals, bar graphs, spreadsheets, and more.

Science: Iditarod Ready, Storm Ready - Students learn about health concerns associated with exposure to cold weather, including frostbite and hypothermia, and first aid methods used to treat these conditions.

Literacy: Idita-Read Program - Inspire students to read by holding an Idita-Read event to connect the Iditarod to learning. Reading starts when the mushers start and can be for the duration of the race, or longer.
