Description
The Padres have signed Jase Bowen, a 25-year-old outfielder, to a minor league contract. Bowen, once a top-thirty Pirates prospect, had a breakout year in 2023, hitting 23 homers and stealing 26 bases. He spent 2024 at Double-A and 2025 at Triple-A, where he hit nearly .300 with a strong on-base percentage and 7 stolen bases. Bowens career was revitalized by a stint in the Australian Baseball League and he now has a chance to start the 2026 season in Triple-A with the Padres.
