Description

David Green,

Reminds us of the importance of a good night's sleep whilst identifying the growing concerns over the 30% of adults reporting poor sleep.   Unfortunately, in our busy always moving 24-7 society, sleep has all too often become devalued and even considered a waste of time, or worse still a sign of laziness.  In fact, some professionals consider missed sleep as something to brag about, demonstrating to all just how hard they’re working.  The truth is, we ideally need seven to eight hours quality sleep a night to effectively reset our central nervous system as we re-alkalise our internal systems.

The 30% of adults reporting poor sleep in the survey, complaining of not being able to get off to sleep, waking up frequently during the night, or waking early and being unable to get back to sleep.

However, there could be some much-needed support just around the corner, as we review the properties of a natural substance called palmitic acid monoethanolamide (PEA), and its positive effects on our sleep patterns.
