Pamela Smart was convicted of first degree murder for the murder of her husband Gregg Smart in May of 1990. Recently she has requested her life sentence be commuted. First degree murder charges in NH do not come with the possibility of parole. She argues that the actual killer, Billy Flynn, has since been paroled and released, while she remains in jail.
