Darek Fidyka (pictured) had been unable to take a single step since 2010 when his spinal cord was severed in a knife attack. He's now able to walk again after pioneering medical treatment saw cells from his nasal passages injected into his damaged spinal cord.




Professor Geoffrey Raisman led the UK research team and explained how the process worked to Radio 2s' Jeremy Vine.
