Description

Welcome to Aimpoint’s Taking Aim Podcast. Today, we sat down with Benjamin Van Buren.

Benjamin shares his powerful journey into the airborne community, detailing his early passion for jumping and what it meant to earn his place among paratroopers. He recounts some of his first jumps—equal parts adrenaline and chaos—and reflects on the challenges of being deployed in Afghanistan, where he was tasked with detecting explosive devices using a ground surveillance tool known as the Meerkat. Benjamin also dives into his involvement with the Round Canopy Parachuting Team, an organization that preserves the legacy of WWII airborne operations through historical reenactments and international jump events, keeping the airborne spirit alive for future generations.
