Party Like It's 1995: UVA Upsets No. 8 Florida State
Description
Charlottesville partied like it was 1995 on Friday night and Preston welcomes on Wahoos 247's Jacquie Franciulli to podcast like it's 2025 and react to an historic night as UVA upsets No. 8 Florida State 46-38 in double overtime.
First, Preston and Jacquie set the scene at Scott Stadium after the fastest field storm in college sports history and the emotions surrounding the win. Then they discuss where this ranks among college sporting events either has attended in-person.
Later Preston hands out the Hoos On Player of the Game, which was given to the UVA offensive line as Jacquie discusses the job the unit has done. Then Preston and Jacquie focus on Des Kitchings and the offense, Chandler Morris and some of the other major plays on offense. Preston then makes his case why this was an impressive performance from John Rudzinski and the UVA defense despite what the box score says.
Finally, Preston and Jacquie discuss if the win changes their expectations for the rest of the season.
