Passion Week Difficulties — the meal in Bethany
Description
The Gospel of John clearly explains that Jesus arrived in Bethany on the Friday before Passion Week, and there was held a meal in Christ's honor in Bethany on Saturday. And the Triumphal Entry then was on the next day—Sunday. However, Matthew and Mark both place the account of the meal in Bethany in the middle of their Tuesday narrative. So when did the meal take place? Saturday or Tuesday?
This week being Passion Week, Pastor Toph is taking a few episodes to explain some interpretive difficulties that come up with regard to the chronology of the final days leading up to our Lord's death and resurrection, in order to show that when the Scripture is allowed to speak, it is always shown to be absolutely truthful and trustworthy.
