Tayla Richardson is a poet, multidisciplinary artist and disability advocate. She creates to connect and untangle perceptions of ambiguous loss, hope and impermanence, drawing on her experience living with a rare neuromuscular condition. Tayla was a 2024 Australian Poetry Slam state finalist, winner of a University of Sydney art prize and highly commended in the 2023 Writability and 2025 Varuna Writers Space Fellowships. Her creative work has featured in International Poetry Short Film Festivals, art exhibitions across Naarm and can be found online with RUSSH magazine and Writers Victoria. Tayla is an actor and model with Zebedee Talent Agency and is currently writing a poetic memoir and developing a universally designed art exhibition.
