Dr. Sam Clovis is the host of the talk radio show Impact with Sam Clovis heard on KSCJ, 1360 am, Sioux City, IA. Along with his radio hosting, Sam is also currently the Chair of the Department of Business Administration and Economics at Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. He came to Morningside from the Homeland Security Institute where he remains a Fellow, concentrating his research efforts in national preparedness, community resilience and immigration policy. He is also a member of the faculty at the Center for Homeland Defense and Security, Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA. Sam also teaches as an adjunct for Iowa State University in the university’s Master of Public Administration program. Folks please welcome Dr. Sam Clovis to the show today. Subject today is: Big Government Unions and how it effects our children's education and economy! The influence of big government unions thanks largely to brave patriotic Republican Governor's like Wisconsin Scott Walker ,Ohio John Kasich and a number of other states is about to change forever. Please be advised the overall money streams that funded liberal democrat’s coffers will be altered forever. Perhaps most significant is the State of Wisconsin no longer taking “mandatory” dues out of state employee paychecks to pay union dues? Just imagine patriots YOU will have the freedom of choice to join a big government union or not to join, imagine that! When this was done in New York City in the 1970s, unions lost 35% of their membership, because members refused to pay dues on their own. Furthermore, employees who see just how much their dues is costing them both in dollars and power, they will likely want a different arrangement.
