This video identifies the scope of pediatric chaplaincy beginning with the building of trust with a child all the way through a young patient’s treatment. The chaplain assigned to the MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital visits with patients and their families, provides comfort, hope and a spiritual presence respectful of the family’s faith tradition, participates in memorial services, serves on committees, attends medical team meetings and is always available to be with a family at the end of life.
