Penina talks about the impact that former Tall Ferns have had on her basketball career and the importance of holding space for her teammates when they need it. She also shares the joy and frustration associated with firsts in women’s sports (and being part of the history-making BNZ Kāhu professional women's basketball team, which recently announced its trailblazing all-women ownership group that includes WOMENZSPORTS founder Dani Marshall!).
