Description

Christian persecution is often thought of as being a tragedy of the past, when missionaries faced peril of life and limb as they spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to foreign lands. Ironically, it is more dangerous to be a Christian today than ever before -- and you don't even have to be a missionary. In the past century alone, more Christians were murdered for their faith than in any other century in human history, an estimated 200 million. Full-blown persecution, including rape, murder and oppression, continues today in countries around the world -- but you won't hear much about it in the mainstream media, which is either afraid of what it might find or not disturbed enough to care. In this week's show, we'll continue our discussion from last week's show concerning persecution of Christians around the world. We'll focus on Christians who risk their lives every day, simply due to their faith, focusing on the countries of Egypt, Afghanistan and Iraq. We'll also share an eye-opening and alarming trend of Christian persecution in America.
