The playoffs begin this weekend both in Nascar and in NHRA. The Chase for the Sprint Cup begins in Chicago with 12 drivers vying for the title. Dustin Long of SI.com/USA Today and AthlonSports.com handicaps the field.
In NHRA, Mike Neff took his second straight Funny Car Wally at the rain-delayed US Nationals in Indy. Neff talks to us about that and 4 races in a row to kickoff the Countdown to One.
Brad Brand was a crew chief with no driver in Pro Mod after the rain delay at Indy. He not only got into the car, he won. We chat with him about the improbable victory.
And we go down under to talk a little V8 Supercar with Ford Falcon driver Mark Winterbottom. “Frosty” is currently second in the points heading into racing this weekend.
