P&D are joined by 4-time Tony Award Nominated and Olivier Award Winning Producer Alia Jones-Harvey, Broadway’s first and only Black woman Lead Producer (currently “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations,” “MJ: the Michael Jackson Musical,” and “Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical”). In this episode, she discusses her company’s urgent mission to diversify Broadway on and offstage, and recounts the many pivots that brought her from making toilet paper to rushing to a meeting that would bring legends like Debbie Allen, James Earl Jones, and Cicely Tyson to her door.
