Pastor Chris Winans continues our series on the 10 Commandments, this week on the second commandment found in the book of Exodus chapter 20, verses 1-3, “You shall not make for yourself a carved image”. Most of us are not literally bowing down and praying to a physical idol, but perhaps more pervasive in our culture is worshiping a “designer” god that has the characteristics of our own individual choosing; with the things we like included and things we don’t like discarded. Are you worshiping a god of your own making, or the God who made you?
